My move to St. Louis is rapidly approaching, and while this initial move is just the first step, its a big transition into my new life, and my own household. its a good feeling to start to shake loose the student skin and slide a little further into adulthood.
of course, in the meantime im playing the waiting game. So to make it tolerable ive been making little preperations, and I just purchased my first grown up knife.
they are not inexpensive….
so I just ordered the one for now. and man, it took forever to research and find just the right one. but soon I will be getting my new Wusthof Ikon Classic 7” Santoku. I dont know why but I prefer the Santoku style blade to the traditional chefs knife, its just easier for me to chop.
anyway, I ordered a knife block and honing steel for it too, and they are coming soon as well.
isn’t it beautiful? 7” of high carbon german knifey goodness.
now I just need a fillet knife and a paring knife and im set as far as the expensive ones go!
sorry for tricking you into reading this with my profound sounding introduction, im sorry, but how else are you going to get people to read about your knife purchase that you are really excited about?
