So just got back from my fitness evaluation at the gym I just joined, apparently the only thing i’m “fit” for is reclining gently on a soft surface.
BUT i guess thats why I need the gym in the first place, although I’m not a huge fan of my personal trainer. but the trouble is, pretty much all personal trainers are awful.
she kept asking me where my “excitement” and “drive” were, while I was walking slowly on the treadmill and struggling to do even the simplest weight lifting. I just blinked at her. then she started talking about Chi and energy bullshit, wrong turn Tina, do I look like a middle aged, recently devoiced “Spiritual type” Lady?
the saving grace is that I only need three sessions with her until I can do my workouts independently, with a good audio book instead.
i’m being overly negative about the experience though, despite the Polly-Anna disposition of Tina, I think this is a great Gym. I might stand a chance getting healthy.
